The Shins, Kate Tempest, Sleaford Mods and FORTY new acts join the Green Man 2017 partyPosted Wed 1 Mar. 2017

A special St David's Day treat..

Hello friends, happy St David’s Day to you! This celebratory day feels fitting for the second round of wonderful acts, for our 15th anniversary, GREEN MAN 2017 festival. We’re bloomin’ excited and hope you agree that it’s shaping up to be an extra-special party this year! Tickets are flying out - so snap yours up now and join us for the Brecon Beacons’ biggest party!

Ahead of an eagerly awaited fifth album, we’re ecstatic to welcome THE SHINS and their enviable back catalogue of beautifully crafted guitar pop for their only UK festival show this year. Poet and musician KATE TEMPEST, whose personal, spine-tingling way with words has found its way into albums, books and startlingly original adaptations of Shakespeare. Kate last played Einstein’s Garden way back in 2009 and, needless to say, we’re super happy to have her back! SLEAFORD MODS bring their direct, stripped back political exultations and electrifying live show to fly the flag for punk music in 2017. We really can’t wait.

PLUS plus plus!.. San Francisco’s blistering, garage rock pioneers THEE OH SEES, iconic US legend DANIEL JOHNSTON, the very special SHIRLEY COLLINS returning following her Babbling Tongues talk in 2014, with wonderful new material. We welcome the original ARCHDRUID - JULIAN COPE. And if that wasn't enough.. Newly-styled, endearing folk-rock from JOHNNY FLYNN & THE SUSSEX WIT, celebrate 25 years of Foxbase Alpha with SAINT ETIENNE, synth-jabbing punk rock freakkouts from LIARS AND a DJ set from certified dance music legend RONI SIZE, 20 years on from releasing classic record “New Forms”.
