Festival information

Families

People of all ages come to Green Man and whether you’re bringing the kids, teens, grandparents or the whole brood, there’s a host of activities and action that’ll keep them entertained from dawn ‘till dusk...

Family Camping Fields

After a more slow-paced camping experience to nestle down in with your brood? Our Family Camping Fields offers exactly that, with nappy bins and a chilled vibe making the perfect place for your family to call home over the weekend.

You don’t need a special ticket to camp here, you just turn up and pitch your tent. No single or groups of adults will be permitted in the Family Campsite unless accompanied by children 16 or under.

Children's Area

Otherwise known as Little Folk, our Children’s Area caters for the tiniest of tots all the way through to the most intrepid 12-year-olds. It’s perfectly plonked next to the Family Camping Fields and is bursting with workshops, music and mischief. Don’t miss the Children’s Parade on Sunday afternoon, where the little folk parade everything they’ve made over the weekend through the festival site and in front on the Mountain Stage.

Teenage Area

Also known as Somewhere, our Teenage Area is an action-packed place for 13-17 year olds. We’ve got DJ workshops, fire shows, filmmaking fun, T-shirt designed and loads more…

Science

Einstein's Garden was the first science area at a UK fesitival, and is now seen as a leader in science engagement. World leading universities and research organisations tranfer their mega brain knowledge into over 100 mind blowing family-friendly performances, stretching from laughs, music and theatre, to walks, talks and interactive installations.

Wellness

We run special yoga and capoeira sessions for kids, teens and families in Nature Nurture, which can be booked in advance.

Films

The Cinedrome offers the most spell-bindings kids’ films from 10am, just the spot for a chilled morning.

Workshop Zone

Located between Somewhere and Round The Twist, our Workshop Zone features 11 varieties of workshops from local artisans, including some exciting new sessions as well as some old favourites. Get crafting, weaving, sewing or whatever else takes your fancy, check back for the full line-up of workshop activities for GM25.

Stay for a week

The Settlement is just the place if you're looking to extend your stay at Green Man. Come and camp from the Monday before the festival starts, extending your festival experience to a 7 day holiday in Wales. Settlers are an incredibly friendly bunch, so expect for your kids (and you) to befriend fellow Settler’s camped nearby. There’s plenty to do, including: workshops, guided walks, bike riding, music, comedy & quizzes, and is your chance to discover the mystical Welsh countryside, discover local pubs or book many of the rural outdoor pursuits the region is famous for!

Mr Trolley

Need some help getting your camping gear and little tykes around the site? Mr Trolley’s hire service will be back again, you can pre-book your trolley here or rent one at the festival!

Shopping

There is a festival shop on site where you can get essentials, and in Crickhowell there's a chemist, outdoor clothing and grocery, which you can walk to. If you want to drive there are large supermarkets in Abergavenny.

Where Can The Kids Not Go?

We love little ones exploring Green Man, but not every area is suitable for the tykes. For licensing purposes, kids should not be within 2 metres of the front of bar (they can of course come into the bar tents themselves!). We do not allow under 15s into Last Laugh (our comedy tent) after 10pm, thanks for your understanding!
