TTSSFU — aka Manchester’s Tasmin Nicole Stephens — conjures enormous atmospheric worlds using just GarageBand in their bedroom. The DIY shoegazer deftly combines the eeriness of The Cure with the fast BPM of The Strokes and The Drums: most recently on new EP Me, Jed and Andy, inspired by the complicated love affair between Andy Warhol and Jed Johnson, which TTSSFU produced, mixed, and mastered themselves. When they’re not busy playing lead guitar for Manchester band Duvet, they’re writing and recording songs in a single day — the kind of prolific talent that’s propelled them to the Green Man Rising final.
