If you were wondering about the name, it’s German for “warm showerer”, i.e. someone who might be a bit of a wimp. Warmduscher sound anything but, though: they’re a party band, a bunch of British miscreants shepherded by American frontman Clams Baker Jr. Irvine Welsh and Lianne La Havas appeared on their fifth album Too Cold To Hold, out late last year: a psychedelic trip of their typical Iggy Pop-ish cadence, funk-punk, and non-soapbox politics, with some added jazz and hip-hop — in case things weren’t eccentric enough already.
