Underworld

Underworld’s Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have remained busy ever since their breakthrough in the nineties. Yes, there’s the exhilaratingly iconic scene in Danny Boyle's Trainspotting, but most recently they've released their eleventh album Strawberry Hotel late last year, a captivating mix of psych-pastoral, guitar, and, yes, rave bangers. Their combination of characteristic stuttering, melancholy vocals and thumping techno makes for music that’s built for live crowds, and given they formed in Cardiff in 1987, their Green Man headline appearance will be something of a Welsh homecoming too. They released their eleventh album Strawberry Hotel late last year, a captivating mix of psych-pastoral, guitar, and, yes, rave bangers.
