Peiriant

This duo started making music in an east London warehouse before upping sticks and returning to their native Wales. Now violinist Rose and guitarist and sound artist Dan call the mountains of Bannau Brycheiniog home: the very same lofty peaks that watch over Green Man. Peiriant (Welsh for “machine” or “engine”) called their second album Dychwelyd (“return”) and its songs marry folk textures with dissonant drones and modulated guitar, the beauty of nature with its roar, the craggy magic of the Welsh landscape with the modern grain of warehouses and synthesisers.
