Using Bim Mason’s uncannily accurate portrait masks, The Bigheads present live satirical cartoons using current news stories. These masked figures have appeared in international news media (including the front pages of Le Monde and the Guardian) as well as on Have I Got News For You. In this year of elections, we will be showing the race between Biden and Trump and reflecting on the Westminster battle! There may also be an appearance from His Majesty to celebrate his return to public life and, to remind us of more important things, a group of Climate Criminals being led off to gaol.
Bim Mason combines 50 years of street theatre experience with 40 years of mask-making and comic performance. His award-winning directing work in physical theatre, was followed by decades in contemporary circus education, including founding Circomedia. The Bigheads appeared in Singapore, Montreal and Philadelphia, with the current style starting in 2019.
